Potter, Hartley lead San Jose St. to 30-24 win over UNLV
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Kenny Potter passed for 292 yards with two touchdowns, Tre Hartley had career highs of 104 yards receiving and two TDs and San Jose State beat UNLV 30-24 on Saturday night.
Tim Crawley had eight catches for a career-high 114 yards and added 21 yards rushing and a score on four carries and Bryce Crawford made a career-best three field goals for San Jose State (3-6, 2/3 Mountain West).
Potter and Hartley connected on second-quarter touchdowns of 63 and 29 yards before Crawford's final field goal, a 44 yarder, made it 30-10 with 8:41 left in the third.
Kurt Palandech evaded several would-be tacklers on fourth-and-goal before hitting Andrew Price for a 2-yard touchdown and added a 16-yard rushing TD as UNLV (3-6, 2-3) pulled within 20-24 with 5:19 remaining.
But San Jose State's Trevon Bierria intercepted a pass at the Spartans' 14 with 48 seconds left to seal it.
Charles Williams had 141 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries for UNLV. Devonte Boyd had 136 yards receiving.
