North Dakota State beats South Dakota 28-21
VERMILLION, S.D. -- Easton Stick threw for three touchdowns as North Dakota State beat South Dakota 28-21 in a regular-season finale on Saturday.
Stick was 13 of 20 for 154 yards passing for the Bison (10-1, 7-1 Missouri Valley Football Conference) who finish the season atop the MVC standings. Lance Dunn ran for 145 yards on 14 carries and King Frazier rushed for 91 yards and a score.
After leading NDSU to a 21-14 halftime advantage, Stick threw a 6-yard score to Connor Wentz to stretch the Bison lead to 28-14 with 11:30 to play in the third quarter.
In the second quarter, Stick threw a 40-yard touchdown to Darrius Shepherd to give the Bison a 14-7 lead with 8:42 to go in the half.
It was the fourth straight loss for the Coyotes (4-7, 3-5) who were led by Chris Streveler who threw for 184 yards and two scores.
