New Hampshire wins in its new stadium 39-28
DURHAM, N.H. -- Dalton Crossan rushed for a career-high 199 yards and two touchdowns and New Hampshire won its inaugural game in its new stadium with a 39-28 victory over Holy Cross on Saturday night.
Trevor Knight's 62-yard pass to Rory Donovan with 1:17 left in the third quarter gave the Wildcats (1-1) their first lead at 32-28. Three times the Wildcats were deep in Crusaders territory in the fourth quarter without scoring before Casey DeAndrade returned an interception 28 yards with 2:25 remaining to ensure the win in Wildcat Stadium, the school's first new football home since 1936.
Knight was 11 of 18 for 190 yards and two scores with two interceptions.
Peter Pujals completed 42 of 64 passes for 427 yards and three touchdowns but was intercepted twice for Holy Cross (1-1). Richie DeNicola caught 13 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns and Jake Wieczorek also made 13 catches for 113 yards.
