Lawrence's 6TD passes lead San Diego past Jacksonville 63-10
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Anthony Lawrence threw a career-high six touchdown passes -- one off the school record -- and San Diego won its 17th straight Pioneer Football League game crushing Jacksonville 63-10 on Saturday.
Lawrence threw two first quarter scores, both to Nate Loya for 24 and 32 yards. He threw two more in the second, both to Ross Dwelley, for 11 and 1 yards, and San Diego (5-2, 4-0) lead 35-0 at halftime.
In the third, Justin Priest was the recipient of both Lawrence's touchdown passes from 20-yards and 28-yards respectively. Early in the fourth, Jordan Charles rambled for 63-yard TD run to make it 56-3.
Lawrence finished 18-for-24 passing for 268 yards while his Jacksonville (4-3, 2-2) counterpart was 5 for 11 for 87 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
The Toreros' defense limited Jacksonville's defense to 235 yards and 3-for-12 on third-down conversions.
