Oregon tight end Jamari Johnson was sidelined for the Ducks' 39-31 upset loss at Oklahoma State due to an undisclosed injury.
Johnson, a preseason All-American, caught four passes for 57 yards and a touchdown in the Ducks' win over Boise State to open the season. Oregon coach Dan Lanning said Johnson got "banged up" in the opener and was unavailable to practice during the week but did not offer specifics on the injury.
"Jamari, we should get back, I don't know if it will be this week or the next," Lanning said.
Oregon also lost running back Jordon Davison to an injury in the third quarter against the Cowboys. Lanning said afterward he had not received an evaluation on Davison's injury. Davison rushed for 23 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.
Johnson was ESPN's No. 1-ranked tight end prospect for the 2027 draft entering the season after catching 32 passes for 510 yards and three touchdowns in his first season with the Ducks while playing alongside first-round draft pick Kenyon Sadiq.
Andrew Olesh, a Penn State transfer, replaced Johnson in the starting lineup for the Ducks and caught one pass for 9 yards in the road loss.
