Baylor quarterback DJ Lagway is considered doubtful for the Bears' game Saturday against Louisiana Tech because of an ankle injury, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel on Thursday.
Nate Bennett is in line to make his second straight start for Baylor.
Lagway did not play in Baylor's 44-3 victory over Prairie View A&M last Saturday. Bennett made his first career start with Lagway out and accounted for four touchdowns, including three passing scores. He had 314 passing yards, completing 24 of his 36 pass attempts. He also threw two interceptions.
Lagway suffered his injury in the Bears' 17-16 loss to Auburn in the season opener -- his first game for Baylor after transferring from Florida.
He was 27-of-54 for 333 yards with two touchdowns, an interception and a lost fumble in the loss to Auburn. His game-winning 2-point conversion attempt to tight end Matthew Klopfenstein was stopped inches short of the goal line.
