BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU star linebacker Whit Weeks left Saturday night's 35-6 win over Texas A&M after heading to the locker room on crutches with a boot on his foot.
"With Whit, I don't have any update on that," Tigers coach Lane Kiffin said afterward. "But obviously, it didn't look good when he walked off."
Weeks has 24 tackles this season, including four along with a quarterback hurry against the Aggies. He was injured early in the third quarter when the Tigers led Texas A&M 28-6.
Weeks missed five games with a lower leg injury last season. He finished the season with 31 tackles and a sack after being a first-team All-SEC linebacker his sophomore year when he finished second in the SEC with 125 tackles.
"Whit means everything," Ty Benefield, who started at the Star position, said. "I mean, being here for however long I've been here, he's like a brother to me and he's such an amazing leader, fierce competitor."
