Louisville quarterback Lincoln Kienholz looked good in pregame warmups and is on track to start against NC State on Saturday, a source told ESPN's Pete Thamel.
Kienholz, who was listed as a game-time decision on the ACC availability report, had both ankles heavily taped during Saturday's warmups. He was seen limping off the field after the final offensive play in last week's loss to Wake Forest.
Coach Jeff Brohm said during his weekly news conference that Kienholz "has something," while declining to elaborate. The coach also said West Georgia transfer Davin Wydner and freshman quarterback Briggs Cherry were ready to go if Kienholz couldn't play.
In four games as a starter, Kienholz has thrown for 1,140 yards with seven touchdowns and one interception, while rushing for 134 yards and six touchdowns.
ESPN's Andrea Adelson contributed to this report.
