The Cornhuskers have secured a verbal commitment from offensive tackle Corey Whitaker (Murrieta, Calif./Vista Murrieta), multiple sources report. Whitaker took an official visit to Lincoln this weekend and he also had offers from Fresno State, Idaho, Nevada, San Diego State and San Jose State.
