Defense, QB clarity in B1G scrimmages
Michigan's defense controlled play throughout the spring game Saturday at Michigan Stadium, echoing a theme throughout most of the league that day. Several Big Ten squads held scrimmages or open practices, and the defenses had the edge in most of them.

Arnett granted full release
Tennessee wide receiver DeAnthony Arnett has been granted a full release by coach Derek Dooley. Arnett asked for the release, but was initially told it would be a conditional release and would not include any Big Ten schools in Michigan.
