Bjon Fortuin: Very nice to bounce back even though there wasn't much time in between. They certainly did well (Mokoena and Maphaka), they read the conditions perfectly and adjusted vowel well, very proud of the impact they made. Brevis is probably the best hitter of the ball I've seen in a very long time. It's nice to see the guys express themselves, not just him, but others as well. There are a certain areas we want to improve and hopefully we can use these couple of days to get our mind and bodies off the game and come back stronger.
Sikandar Raza: When we batted we were 15 runs short, that's down to how the lower order batted. Maybe 160 was par and we also didn't bowl as well as we should. We had enough information, so hopefully the early jitters are out of the way. The powerplay batting and finishing touches were good, it's the in-between parts (that need improvement). The numbers might say something else but our seamers bowled well and sometimes you can't fight luck.
Brevis is the Player of the Match: It's great to get off to a win, the boys showed improvement and great to see. I'm enjoying it (here), it's a lovely ground and the crowd. Today the wicket was really nice and it's an amazing place to play cricket.
4.45pm He scored 75 yesterday but couldn't close the game and gets the same score today, this time off just 32 balls with as many as six sixes and South Africa are back to winning ways. Credit to their bowlers for restricting Zimbabwe on a good batting pitch with the sun shining down in this day game. The Zimbabwe bowlers also didn't do themselves any favours by bowling too full to Brevis at times and he didn't miss any opportunity. First points for South Africa in the series and they're leading the points table for now, with Namibia second. Just four more matches to go before the twop two teams play the final on September 6, so time's running out for Zimbabwe, who are ranked just two spots above Namibia in the ICC T20I rankings.
