Mitchell Santner, Edinburgh Castle Rockers Captain: Probably a little bit under par, but obviously did a little bit early and kind of continued it into our innings, which was nice. I think we've been gelling nicely. Obviously, we've played some good cricket. Different guys, you know, stepping up at different times. I mean, a couple of key partnerships there: Brandon's playing his shots, Laurie, and then obviously Gareth there to get us up to, you know, probably a below-par but a target-like score. And then with the ball, yeah, guys up top doing the job again outstandingly, and it makes my job a bit easier just throwing to different guys who can take wickets. Yeah, I mean, that puts guys in good places. You know, everyone's running with momentum at the moment, and as a team we're gelling nicely. And, you know, when it comes to a big game, you want guys feeling good and with runs or wickets behind them. And like you said before, different guys are getting runs and different guys are getting wickets. So it's nice. Everyone's in a good place, and may it continue.
Gareth Delany, Player of the Match: Obviously our top order has done such a great job in the first few games, so it was good of a change to come in and, yeah, do something for today. Not too sure. I think they just bowled well up top, and it's the nature of T20. You can lose a few wickets early on in the powerplay, but like we showed towards the back end, it was a decent enough wicket. It's been amazing to be able to train alongside these great players of the game, so I've enjoyed every moment of it so far.
Faf du Plessis, Rotterdam Dockers Captain: I thought that was 20 runs under par. The guys played really well, and we thought it was a really good wicket. So disappointing that we couldn't get that through. I think when you play, you know, chasing small totals like that, as a batting unit, that the only way the opposition will be in the match is if they strike and strike big in the powerplay. So we made it a little bit soft for them to have four down in the powerplay, plus a soft one. That's just the only way that they can get into the contest. But let's put it down to one of those that you can just throw in the bin and get it out of the way. It was a really good pitch, and I still think that even sitting on the side now. I said to the boys, "It's a flatty." I think the new ball plays a role. There's a bit of swing in both innings, and you saw that both sides lost three or four in the powerplay. So, good bowling, but also not great from a batting perspective to adapt to the conditions. You know, assume new ball. I think 40 after six overs there with one down, you're pretty much in cruise control for the rest of the innings. So, put it down to not great batting. But always take learnings. Always, good or bad, make sure you go through your own process and review the things that you want to do really well. And on a day like today, we did really well in the field, but still make sure you go to the things that are the things that you need to work on and keep getting better. But in terms of tomorrow, there's another game, so you can't spend too much time going through the emotions of feeling down. Then you move on to the next game tomorrow
148 proved an insurmountable task and those contributions from McMullen, Evans and Delany gave them plenty on the board. You can add 30 more, given how complete their bowling attack is. Bowlers had a ball out there and it was a nightmarish day for the batters, especially Rotterdam, who suffered an epic collapse. The innings never really took off. Levitt went early in the piece, Vikramjit was bowled for naught and then Manenti hung around for a while. It's a sorry-looking scorecard. Boult was exceptional with the new ball and so was Curran. Santner, Smuts and Watt were miserly with their dextrous spinning methods and strangled them in the middle-overs
