Richie Berrington, Player of the Match: So it was important to come back strong today after yesterday's result. So yeah, just pleased that we managed to bat the way we did today after yesterday's performance and put on a winning score. Yeah, look, I thought we got a really good platform today in that powerplay. I thought the guys batted really nicely just to give us that score where we could really, you know, it does take a few balls sometimes through those middle overs. But I guess you have a lot of trust in your game when you've got someone like J Roy at the other end. First time batting with him, which I really enjoyed. Not too much, to be honest. I think in this format especially, you can have days like that, but it was just making sure we had real clarity on our plans. Obviously, that first game gave us a taste of the conditions, so today was just being really smart about how we were going to go about things, and yeah, I think we saw that in both departments today. Yeah, I thought we were pretty happy. I think it was probably just above par, and I think on another day we might have got a few more. But I think with the bowling attack we have, we were pretty confident going into that second half. Yeah, I think just keep trusting, and, you know, the guys have been working really hard. It's been really enjoyable since we arrived here, meeting up with the team and a few different players. So yeah, we'll enjoy this, but we know there'll be another big game next week. So just keep enjoying it and keep things simple.
George Munsey, Glasgow Cosmic Captain: Turnaround from the first game, and I think a lot of credit to Jason Roy, the way he batted and gave us a score to try and defend. Look, it's just one of those. It was pretty easy, actually. I think you just put that behind you. It's a tournament. You can't win or lose a tournament in the first game. And, you know, credit to the guys; we stuck with the same eleven, and it's nice to come out and perform today, which we did. Yeah, definitely. It's just one of those wickets where you can see the guys are getting in, they're going to get big scores, and not being afraid to allow yourself a bit of time before trying to take the attack to the opposition. Look, I think it's easy when you've got a lot of experience in the dressing room; you can rely heavily on them. But ultimately, it's an absolute pleasure to sort of lead this group and the Cosmics in this tournament.
Ravichandran Ashwin, Dublin Guardians Captain: I could have gone 15 runs lesser again. Probably my first over went for a few runs and made a comeback since, but I could have cut that out. That's probably one opportunity. But in general, we've been pretty under par in the last two games, even with the bat and the ball. I thought this pitch was a much better one than the previous ones. It was probably around the 170-175 mark, which I thought was par. The positive is Harry Tector batted beautifully. That's a big positive for us, and once we start getting things together, we need to start rolling. Once we start rolling, we'll know really how our strengths match up. These are not pitches where you can probably go berserk up front. Probably play good cricketing shots, time the ball, hold the shape, that sort of pitch. And that's where I think both the games we've lacked a touch. Today Jason Roy showed us what it is to take a bit of time, the other day Paul Stirling showed us. Sometimes the lessons are right in front of us. We need to learn and get better. Like I said, these are players that are playing the tournament for the first time, and they will learn, they will get better. It's important that we hang in there and back them. Just back them. I mean, just get better from the previous game. That's all you can ask for. I mean, if you can get better by five percent every single game, you would have done pretty well through the tournament. And we don't want to emphasise too much on the result. It's very easy to say the process is set, but we firmly believe that it is set. Give them the time to breathe, give them the time to improve, they will get better
The leader of the pack, highly experienced Lungi Ngidi, led the way with a four-fer and conceded just 21 in his quota. Ali Khan was miserly as well, returning 2 for 25, and Paul van Meekeren chipped in with three vital scalps. It was a skilful and highly professional bowling performance that made light work of restricting them. Apart from Harry Tector, nobody scored big, and they just didn't get a lot of momentum into the chase. The frequent shedding of wickets meant there was no flow to the innings. Earlier, Roy thwacked 60, and Berrington's rapid rampage of 51 runs gave them plenty on the board on this track, which has enough to offer for the pacers
