5:16pm A good fight too little too late from Zimbabwe, but how clinical were South Africa on the day it matters. Chose to bat, posted a tall total and made easy work of the defence. Jansen and Bosch were quite good with their lines in the powerplay. Zimbabwe's ploy to come out all guns blazing saw them lose four wickets in the first 23 balls. Tough to comeback from thereon in a chase as tall as 206. Evans, though, did brilliantly well to reduce the margin but that was about it. Three wickets apiece for Fortuin and Hansen while Bosch chipped in with a couple.
Jordan Hermann, Player of the Match: "Good performance from us. Great cup to bring back home. Always wish the best for him [brother Rubin] and he does for me as well. No competition between us."
Sikandar Raza, Zimbabwe captain: "Overall a good outing. Good to play some good cricket. Felt like we took two steps forward and one backward. That's hurtful. We missed out on a lot. South Africa showed us how to bowl. Cannot say the wicket got better in the second innings. When we came out to bat, we didn't capitalise. Our tail has been scoring a lot. That doesn't mean top- and middle-order doesn't do the job. They [lower order] keep taking us to respectable totals, but that is not enough."
Bjorn Fortuin, South Africa captain: "Pleasing to see different guys stand up. Nice to come back, not nice to be reminded of past losses every time. Hopefully we can spend some more time in the future. We don't want to be a team that is reliant on two-three guys."
Duan Jansen is named the 'Bowler of the Tournament' for his 11 wickets while Lhuan-dre Pretorius is the 'Batter of the Tournament' for his tally of 226 runs.
Dewald Brevis is the Player of the Tournament for scoring 226 runs at a strike rate of 116.17, including two fifties.
Fortuin is presented with the tri-series trophy and he goes to his team-mates, who are already behind the board that says WINNERS.
