Imran Tahir: "[Sealed for the playoffs] Yeah, look, I'm just really proud of the boys. We've been playing really good cricket in all departments. Maybe now and then we lose our grip a bit, but then anyone can step up and be a hero, and I think that's been the story so far in our group. Like I said before, we enjoy each other's success, and when we go out to do our job, we do it sincerely because we know we are representing this beautiful franchise. We've been looked after really well, and fans come and support us from all over the world. These are things we always have to remember and not take for granted. I know we are sitting nicely at the top, but there's another challenge coming up, so we have to plan and prepare for how we're going to approach it.

[Nabi] He's an absolute legend. He's one of the best off-spinners in world cricket at the moment, and that's why we got him. He can bat, he's a really good slip fielder, and he's been great with us, sharing his knowledge. The way he's been bowling is brilliant. Even from the GSL until now, his lengths have been so consistent; he hardly misses in any game. His performance speaks for itself, so we love having him here, and we're really going to miss him.

[Free license to Gurbaz] I think I tried a few times to convince him to play the way we wanted, but he didn't listen! Look, Gurbaz is one of those players who has all the shots in the book and likes to play his own way. Sometimes you just have to have faith and give him the freedom to play how he wants, because we know that if Gurbaz bats for five or six overs, the opposition is in trouble. He's been playing beautifully. He's been with us for a month and a half, though he had to go back to play for Afghanistan against Ireland, but he came back in form. He's executing his role brilliantly for our team, so I just want him to play however he wants to play. Thanks to all the fans as well today."

Jason Holder: "[How did you see the batting effort?] I think we were probably 20 to 25 runs short. Initially, it felt like we were always in the game with the ball, but they obviously bowled well to restrict us to 128, which was a little below par. I think anywhere around 145 to 150 would have been a decent total. Well, if we made decisions in hindsight, we'd probably do a few things differently. But having said that, I was satisfied with the decision at the toss. As I said before, we were just 20 to 25 runs short.

[Bowling performance] Yeah, not too bad. It's always tough defending an under-par score, but I felt the bowlers gave a really good effort. They probably got off to a bit of a flier in the powerplay, and if we had limited the boundaries and damage early on, it might have been a different game. Maybe that 128 would have been stretched a little further - not sure if it would have gotten us across the line, but we could have fought a little better.

[Getting those extra runs] I think we were one or two partnerships short. This is the kind of wicket where you need at least a couple of 40-run partnerships. You might not necessarily look for 60 or 70-run stands, but two 40-run partnerships would have stretched the game further. It's not a wicket where you can easily get going from ball one; you really have to graft. The bounce is a bit low, so it's just one of those surfaces where you have to pay a little more attention and give yourself some time.

[Using Jeremiah Louis late] Look, I felt the spinners were doing a really good job for me. Nabi started taking wickets, Ashmead is the local boy here, and with left-arm spin against the two right-handers, we felt it was a good matchup. I felt this was a game where we would rely on the seamers in the back end to finish things off. But again, being 20 to 25 runs short hurt us. Had we had those runs, Jeremiah might have come in under a much better scenario at the end.

[Final league game] Definitely looking forward to going to Barbados and playing that last game. We've had good success there and we're still in the tournament. It's just a matter of closing out the group stage well for ourselves personally. We'll have to play the waiting game to see how the table shapes up, but our main priority is just to win that game."

Player of the Match, Mohammad Nabi: "I love bowling in Guyana because the pitch is a little bit slow, which always suits me when I come to the CPL. I always perform well with the ball here. This year, it's just been about hitting the right line and length, knowing the conditions, and understanding where to pitch the ball. The success depends on the situation, and I'm just bowling according to what the team needs. That's it.

[Adapting to situations] It depends on the situation and what the captain needs. Sometimes I'm used in the powerplay - I bowled in the powerplay during the Global Super League as well. This year in the CPL, I've bowled a few powerplay overs, but once the powerplay is over and the ball gets a bit older, it comes down to choosing the right variations - whether to bowl slower or faster. It all depends on the match situation.

[How have you enjoyed your time here?] It's a lovely franchise. I've really enjoyed my time here over the last month and a half with Guyana. The team environment, both on and off the field, is really good. Everyone supports me a lot. There are also a lot of youngsters in the squad who are eager to learn, and I try to share as much of my experience with them as possible."

6:30 pm Gurbaz opened the run chase with all guns blazing, striking the ball to all corners of the park and soaking up the CPL 2026 atmosphere. He laid a solid foundation for the team before departing for a quickfire 39 off 25 balls. Sitting comfortably at 58 for 1 after the powerplay, the Warriors stumbled briefly when Bidaisee removed Dindyal for 17 with a sharp caught and bowled moment. Bidaisee struck again soon after, claiming the huge scalp of Hetmyer, caught at long on. Hope and Nabi then took charge with a calm and composed 54-run partnership to steer their side over the line comfortably. Hope anchored the pursuit with an unbeaten 38 off 44 balls, while Nabi chipped in with a handy 25 off 21. The Patriots' spinners and Naseem kept things tight and economical, but there simply weren't enough runs on the board to defend.
