10.45pm Looks like that is a wrap for the presentation ceremony, without the Indian team collecting their winners medals or the trophy. We will have more news on that up on the site soon. I guess that's all from us tonight. On behalf of Shashank, Ranjith and everyone else at Cricinfo, it's Abhimanyu signing off.

10.35pm It was a bit of a wait, but it's time for the presentation ceremony. The umpires get some mementos before the Sri Lankan team line up to take their runners-up medals. Chamari Athapaththu picks up the runners-up cheque from ACC chief Mohsin Naqvi.

Chamari Athapaththu: "This is the part of the game, one team wins one team loses. But end of the day we did not play our best game in all three departments. They played very well. But we will bounce back. Asian Games is coming up. And we will bounce back. We played really good cricket throughout the tournament, but today we struggled a little bit. It doesn't mean we are not good enough. [Standout performers] A lot of players played good cricket. Especially Harshitha, Nilakshi and Praboda."

10.30pm The wait for the presentation ceremony continues. Nandani Sharma, meanwhile, got a medal from BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia for her fielding.

9.12pm Sumeet: "Fun starts now (IYKYK)"

Srinivas: "What is happening? Update please" -- We are waiting for the presentation ceremony to begin.

G Kamalini: "It's a different feeling. I still can't digest it. I'm an 18-year-old kid. There's lot of seniors here. I learned a lot from them, mind-wise. I think the mindset the seniors have, that whether they get out on 100 or 0, they have the same mindset, so I learned that from them."

Nandani Sharma: "This is my first major tournament with India so it feels very good. [Partnership with Kranti Gaud] I feel the credit goes to my team-mates and staff. They had made clear plans. Everyone's confidence is very high and we'll focus on our practice and hope to win the Asian Games as well. [On Deepti Sharma] She delivers wickets where we need it the most. So we knew she'll handle it. We just wanted to give a good start to the team.

Richa Ghosh: "The atmosphere has been really great how the fans came out and cheered for us. At the start the ball was coming on nicely and then it started to get slower. Our batters played really well and we knew if we got a couple of wickets, we'll be able to stop them. The role I've been given, getting runs there helps the team. We'll discuss as a team how we'll celebrate. Haven't thought about it yet, the game just got over."

Amol Muzumdar: "Really proud of all the players and support staff. It was a fantastic pitch today and we came up good. Our batting was very strong. We started really nicely. [On batting] If you see throughout the fortnight, the pitch is a bit on the slower side and it turned quite a bit. So putting on a big score and defending it... we had three quality spinners, so that was the tactic. [On the openers] Left-right combination. Shafali has got her own style, the power, the charisma, she puts the opposition on the back foot. Smriti has got that flair, they complement each other really well. We went back to the five-match series against Sri Lanka in December and how we dismissed Chamari, who is an important player for them. That was the plan and glad Deepti executed it."

Harmanpreet Kaur: "We know they are a great team. But we played to our standards. We set high standards for ourselves and we wanted to keep matching them. Very happy the way we all performed. [On the score] Yes, the openers did a great job for us. The way Shafali and Smriti bat like they did. Great to see someone like Shafali take responsibility through the tournament with the bat and ball."

9.53pm India were far from the well-oiled machine they were expected to be. But that they've still won quite easily tells you just how far they are ahead of the rest of the Asian pack. A title at this tournament eluded them two years ago. That result was considered a giant upset; but upsets don't happen every time. Sri Lanka were no match to India today - at no stage looking like they were going to chase down 184.

Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Varma set it up with a century stand. Then came a slowdown and a clutch of wickets, followed by a decent finish. Then their spinners, Charani and Deepti, ran through the opponents without breaking into a sweat.

DB Sharma to Kaushini Nuthyangana, OUT, deceived in flight and she's bowled. Deepti has reaped the rewards for good old attributes. What a night she has had. India romp to a record-extending 8th Asia Cup crown. They've gone through undefeated, and have somewhat made up for the lapse in Dambulla two years ago.
