Toss Rajasthan Royals chose to bowl vs Gujarat Titans
Clad in all-pink, Yashasvi Jaiswal debuted as the Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain in Jaipur and chose to bowl after winning the toss. He stood in for Riyan Parag, who picked up a hamstring injury in the field during RR's last fixture, against Delhi Capitals.
Shimron Hetmyer slotted back into the side to bolster the RR batting line-up, especially in Parag's absence. Out-of-form Nandre Burger was left out of the side; he has gone at an economy rate of 10.33 and an average of 37.33 in the 10 games he has played this season. Sri Lanka allrounder Dasun Shanaka replaced him, playing his second game of the season. Yash Raj Punja was their third change, keeping out Ravi Bishnoi, who is on the impact bench despite RR bowling first. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is set to be their sub and open during their chase.
On the other hand, Gujarat Titans (GT) reflected their recent winning streak with a more stable XI: they rang in just one change, on the impact bench, with Prasidh Krishna named at the toss by Gill as their likely Impact Sub. He is set to replace Manav Suthar, who went for 27 runs in the sole over he bowled against Punjab Kings in their previous game.
