After a dominant month of May that has them sitting on top of the National League Central standings, the Milwaukee Brewers have seemingly finally proven to bookmakers they can contend for the 2026 World Series. They move into a top-five spot on the odds board at 15-1. Milwaukee began the season with 14th-best 35-1 championship odds. The Philadelphia Phillies also continue to rise up the board after a bad start to the season, coming in at a sixth-best 16-1.
The Brewers' and Phillies' ascendencies come at the expense of the Tampa Bay Rays, who had been in that fifth-place 15-1 slot two weeks ago, but are now 20-1 for the World Series. Milwaukee also surpassed the division-rival Chicago Cubs, who have continued to slide down the board, showing 20-1 after reaching a short price of +950 in mid-May.
The Los Angeles Dodgers (+200) and New York Yankees (+550) still dominate the top of the World Series odds board, but the third spot now belongs to the Seattle Mariners, who shortened from 11-1 to +800 after two consecutive series sweeps to close out May. They passed the Atlanta Braves, who remain at +900.
