The St. Louis Cardinals rebounded from an 8-1 rout in Game 1 to even the World Series against the Boston Red Sox on Thursday night at Fenway Park. Pitcher Michael Wacha improved to 4-0 this postseason after throwing six impressive innings. The 22-year-old phenom kept his record-breaking rookie scoreless streak intact until the sixth, when David Ortiz hit a two-run homer. Did I mention his name is Michael Wacha? LIKE THE FOZZIE BEAR SOUND? While many people (read: anyone who has ever watched a baseball game) have made the reference before, thousands of amateur comedians on Twitter thought they came up with the joke last night. ESPN's own Trey Wingo kept his short and sweet.

Eh, I'm more partial to the Wacha Flocka Flame references, but maybe that's just me. The similarly named rapper, however, sadly failed to comment on the moniker or the game as he was too busy retweeting compliments about himself.
Toxic in Tampa
The Carolina Panthers defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night because, duh. The drama-plagued Bucs fell to a dismal 0-7 on the season. While the game itself was a snooze-fest, a group of Tampa Bay fans kept it entertaining with their creative hazmat suits in honor of the team's MRSA outbreak. Adorable!

As evidenced by the outfit above, the subtle "Fire Schiano" billboard, the locker room strife and a million other things, it's obvious the players and Tampa Bay fans have long since turned on head coach Greg Schiano. Now it seems the local media have as well.

San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich's complete and utter disdain for speaking to sideline reporters is undoubtedly the NBA's gift that keeps on giving. During last night's preseason game against the Rockets, Pop was contractually obligated to speak with TNT's Craig Sager. And the results are exactly what you've been waiting for all summer. In Sager's words, Pop is already in midseason form.
Miley, meet Chiney
The Pac-12 women's basketball media day took place on Thursday in San Francisco. In between the seemingly standard news conferences and interviews, Stanford forward Chiney Ogwumike decided to make her own fun during a video shoot. Hopefully, Miley Cyrus is taking some notes.
