No more drama
The Boston Red Sox defeated the St. Louis Cardinals, 3-1, in Game 5 of the World Series. In the most shocking news of the day, the game had a normal, completely uncontroversial ending. Considering the dramatic -- and unprecedented -- finishes from Games 3 and 4, it was sort of disappointing. Twitter was predictably creative with predictions for the game's conclusion, prompting a #HowGame5WillEnd to trend throughout the night.

Sigh, we can only dream Game 6 ends like that. The Red Sox will look to close out the series on Wednesday night in Boston -- with or without Michael Jordan.
Dose of reality
Bravo TV host, "Real Housewives" mastermind and my imaginary BFF Andy Cohen is a die-hard Cardinals fan. So naturally the MLB Fan Cave had him compare players to "Real Housewives" personalities. I smell a spinoff!
Not so super
Eight blocks away from Busch Stadium, the St. Louis Rams hosted the Seattle Seahawks in a really, really ugly "Monday Night Football" matchup. Looking determined to quiet the Super Bowl contender chatter, the Seahawks offensive line did everything they could to lose the game and allowed QB Russell Wilson to be sacked a career-high seven times. Somewhere out there, probably watching a "Hills" marathon, Jay Cutler feels his pain.
Despite the best efforts from the offensive line and a strong performance from the Rams defense, St. Louis still had Kellen Clemens as their QB. With a chance to win on the final play of the game, Clemens overthrew and completely missed his intended receiver. If that's not an excuse to play the "Price Is Right" fail horn), I don't know what is.
Seahawks WR Golden Tate, who scored both of the team's touchdowns, didn't exactly gain any voters for a sportsmanship award when he caught an 80-yard bomb and then promptly started taunting the Rams and fans as he ran to the end zone waving.
While he drew a 15-yard penalty, we were treated to some social media hilarity.
"Breaking" the mold
In honor of Halloween on Thursday, I'll be posting some of my favorite athlete costumes all week. Today's honoree is Oklahoma City Thunder forward Nick Collison, who channeled his inner Walter White for a team party. Bryan Cranston must be proud.
