Pitchers to stream on Sunday
There are pitchers ranked higher than Jake Bennett for Sunday's slate, but the left-hander gets the nod as the top streamer with the conditions at Fenway Park expected to favor pitchers, as compared to the favorable hitting environments throughout the rest of the league. The temperature for the interleague tilt between the Boston Red Sox and San Francisco Giants is forecast to be in the low-to-mid-70s, with a slight breeze blowing in from right field. It also helps that Bennett will face the lineup with the third-lowest wOBA versus left-handed pitching.
Cristian Javier has been serviceable since entering the Houston Astros' rotation late last month. He has pitched to a 4.05 ERA and 1.25 WHIP over four starts, albeit with only 16 strikeouts in 20 innings. However, he has issued just four free passes and will be facing a depleted Athletics lineup at home. Not only will the visiting batters experience a sharp downgrade in venue, but they are also without their three best hitters (Nick Kurtz, Tyler Soderstrom and Shea Langeliers), along with Jacob Wilson.
Pitchers to avoid on Sunday
Generally, this section is reserved for starters with a rostership over 50% who are saddled with an unfavorable matchup. This will be an exception, as the 2026 MLB Little League Classic between the Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers features Tyler Mahle opposing Shane Drohan. Both hurlers will often be highlighted as streamers over the final five weeks, but they're each facing dangerous lineups, and the game will be played at Journey Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The venue isn't especially favorable for power, but it embellishes scoring by boosting BABIP. That said, the game wraps up the fantasy scoring week, so teams in head-to-head leagues may be forced to start one or both options. As luck would have it, they're back-to-back in the rankings, so choosing is essentially a coin flip.
Hitters to stream on Saturday
The New York Mets offense has quietly improved over the second half of the season. They close out a road interleague set with the Chicago White Sox on Sunday, with the weather at Rate Field expected to boost homers and runs. Erick Fedde is slated to start for the home team. For the season, he has punched out only 82 batters in 114 1/3 innings while yielding a generous 22 home runs. A.J. Ewing, Carson Benge, Luis Robert Jr. and Jared Young are set up for a productive afternoon.
