Read below for weekly rankings and start/sit recommendations
These rankings are based on the assumption that all players and teams play their games as scheduled over the next week...yeah, I know. But it's the best we've got. I'm positive that you'll stay plugged in to potential absences and schedule changes due to COVID-19 up until rosters lock on Monday, and adjust your lineups accordingly. With that said...
...so, you're in a weekly transaction league, and half of your line-up is unavailable. You need to decide by Monday evening who your starting lineup will be for the week. Should you consider sitting a usual impact starter like Jrue Holiday or Khris Middleton? Or perhaps starting someone like Luguentz Dort or Jordan Poole, who might generally be on your bench, perhaps even your waiver wire? And what's the weekly update on Kyrie Irving?
The Bucks join the Rockets as the only two teams with only two games this week, which is how players like Holiday, Middleton and Christian Wood ended up on the potentially sittable list this week. The vast majority of the league (20 teams) has three games this week, but eight teams have four games. Guys like Dort and Poole have the extra opportunity to play, making them more startable this week.
In addition, both Dort and Poole are in situations where they're getting more run and opportunity than usual right now. In Dort's case, the Thunder are without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Dort is one of the players that has picked up the offensive slack. The Warriors are still working Klay Thompson up to speed, and they have a back-to-back this week which could result in him sitting out a game, which would mean more run for Poole.
Kyrie watch: the Nets have two road games and one home game next week. But, Irving's averages are so high that, even in only two games, he still projects as a top-100 play for this week.
