Class of 2026 Week 5 Inductee: Peyton Hillis' breakout game
Nov. 7, 2010 (Week 9)
35.0 fantasy points
184 rushing yards, 3 receptions, 2 total TDs
One of the game's most memorable one-season wonders, Hillis' 2010 campaign had many big moments, including a career-best 43.4 fantasy point-game in Week 12. This Week 9 performance, however, kicked off a six-week span during which he scored a running back-leading 152.3 fantasy points, propelling many a fantasy manager -- all of whom got him as a mere waiver-wire pickup -- into their playoffs. Hillis finished the 2010 season seventh overall and third among running backs in scoring with 294.92 fantasy points, earning a place on the cover of "Madden NFL 12" by online fan vote. We imagine he helped a few of them to their fantasy championships.
Hillis will be inducted Sunday during "Fantasy Focus Countdown" (10 a.m. ET on ESPN2). Tune in each week through Week 16 as we reveal all 18 members of the inaugural class of the ESPN Fantasy Football Hall of Fame.
