Premier League teams will be watching and hoping their star players remain healthy throughout the international break.
However, some have already sustained injuries while playing for their countries. Premier League matches resume on Oct. 10.
ESPN will be tracking the latest injuries and updates for your club's players:
Kai Havertz (Arsenal)
Arsenal's Kai Havertz was forced off in the 30th minute of the game between Netherlands and Germany on September 24th with what was described as a muscle injury.
"Both are currently undergoing an MRI," Jurgen Klopp said on RTL about Havertz and Jamal Musiala. "I hope we get the diagnosis [on Thursday] evening. But of course, this isn't great. I hope it's nothing serious. The lads are probably out for us. But hopefully, they'll be back in action relatively quickly."
On September 25 the German Football Association confirmed the attacker would be leaving Klopp's camp and return to Arsenal after suffering what they describe as a 'muscle strain.'
Brian Brobbey (Sunderland)
The powerful Sunderland attacker was also injured in the same game after picking up what looked like a hamstring injury while running for the ball. He immediately went down and signalled to the sideline.
He left the field of his own accord but did have a heavy limp as he walked down the tunnel.
Netherlands boss Xavi Hernandez said after the game: "Brian is indeed injured."
Brobbey was replaced by Joshua Zirkzee in the Dutch squad.
Zion Suzuki (Aston Villa)
The goalkeeper linked up with the Japan squad but according to reports missed the main group training session on September 22nd, according to local reports. Instead he was put on an individual session for a rib injury.
Suzuki was subsequently left out of Japan's matchday squad entirely for Thursday's 3-1 victory over Uruguay.
Dan Ballard (Sunderland)
The Sunderland defender suffered a reported hamstring injury during Northern Ireland's 1-0 victory over Georgia in the UEFA Nations League.
With the score still 0-0 as the match moved into stoppage time, Ballard chased back as Georgia counter-attacked and pulled up clutching the back of his thigh, unable to finish the match in Tbilisi.
Speaking immediately after Friday's match, manager Michael O'Neill said it was too soon to know the extent of his latest injury but will definitely miss the next three Northern Ireland games.
"We'll scan him tomorrow (Saturday), but he's certainly not going to be available for the next three games."
Alexander Isak (Liverpool)
Alexander Isak is returning to Liverpool after sustaining a "minor injury" on international duty.
The striker scored and played the full 90 minutes in Sweden's 2-1 victory over Romania in the Nations League on Friday.
But Isak, who has made a strong start to the season for Liverpool, will not feature in matches against Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Romania over the remainder of the extended international break.
Bruno Fernandes
The Manchester United midfielder was left out of Portugal's squad for Sunday's game against Norway.
"He played with an injury he brought from Manchester United," Portugal boss Jorge Jesus said. "He really wanted to play against Wales."
Patrick Dorgu
The news for Manchester United fans who saw Fernandes absent worsened on Sunday when Dorgu was injured.
The left wing-back limped out of Denmark's match against Wales after 30 minutes.
Denmark head coach Brian Riemer told broadcaster TV2 after the game: "He has an injury and has to go home."
Cody Gakpo
Liverpool forward Gakpo lasted only 17 minutes of the Netherlands' match against Serbia on Sunday. It means Liverpool are sweating over the fitness of Isak and Gakpo.
He looked in pain as he held the lower part of his right leg.
"It's his ankle, that's all I know," Netherlands boss Xavi Hernández said. "Tomorrow we will know, but hopefully it's not too important."
