DENTON, Texas (AP) -- Mario Jointer scored 24 points and Jeffrey

Collins added 21 to lead South Alabama past North Texas 91-72

Saturday night.

South Alabama (10-17, 6-9 Sun Belt) outscored North Texas

(14-13, 6-9) 56-31 in the second half.

After halftime, the Jaguars were 19-of-28 from the floor and hit

7-of-9 3-pointers. The Mean Green struggled offensively as they

shot just 29 percent in the second half.

Leonard Hopkins scored 23 points for North Texas.

The Mean Green shot 52 percent in the first half to take a 41-35

halftime lead.

Richard Law had 18 points and eight rebounds for South Alabama.

Marqus Mitchell scored 14 points and Jeffrey Simpson chipped in

with 10 for North Texas.
