CONWAY, S.C. (AP) -- Jack Leasure scored 23 points and pulled
down seven rebounds as Coastal Carolina beat Coker 70-35 Wednesday
night.
The Chanticleers (1-2) led the whole way, holding the Cobras
(1-4) to just 23 percent shooting (9-of-39).
Coastal Carolina opened the game on a 10-2 run before Coker cut
the lead to two with less than eight minutes to go in the first
half.
The Chanticleers ended the half on a 16-5 run and kept expanding
the lead throughout the second half.
Coastal Carolina shot 41 percent (23-of-56) for the game.
Johnny Jackson led Coker with 19 points.
Moses Sonko scored 12 points and Pele Paelay added 10 for the
Chanticleers.
