PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas -- Demond Chapman scored 19 points to lead Prairie View A&M to a 63-48 victory over Schreiner in the Panthers' season opener Sunday night.

Jules Montgomery grabbed 12 rebounds and Jordan Demunyck 10 for the Panthers, who led 31-26 at halftime. Prairie View scored the first seven points of the second half and led by at least nine points the rest of the way.

Travis Pflughaupt had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Mountaineers, who were counting this game as an exhibition. Schreiner is a member of Division III.
