EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Anthony Winbush scored 16 points and Dylon Cormier added 15 as Loyola of Maryland beat Saint Peter's 61-55 on Saturday at the Izod Center.
Winbush and Julian Brooks both had eight rebounds for the Greyhounds (8-3, 1-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), who finished with a 37-27 rebound advantage in snapping a two-game losing streak.
Desi Washington had 18 points for the Peacocks (4-5, 1-1), who have lost five of six.
Saint Peter's scored the first 13 points of the second half to take a 35-29 lead. Loyola used a 12-0 run to go up 43-38 with 9:50 left.
The Greyhounds were able to hold off the Peacocks by making 11 of 14 free throws over the final 6:33. Saint Peter's got within 58-55 with 1:01 to go. Robert Olson made two free throws with 17 seconds left and after a miss by the Peacocks, Cormier made one of two with 7.3 seconds to go.
