LAS VEGAS -- Eric Ferguson scored 19 points and Georgia Southern defeated MVSU 63-52 on Saturday in the Las Vegas Classic.
Ferguson was 8 for 11 from the field for the Eagles (5-6), who never trailed and led 33-19 at halftime. C.J. Reed had 12 points and eight rebounds, and Tre Bussey scored 10 for Georgia Southern.
Matt Smith led the Delta Devils (0-8) with 15 points and five steals. Davon Usher and Darius Tomlin scored 10 points apiece.
Mississippi Valley State made just six shots in the first half and trailed 33-19 at the break.
