MUNCIE, Ind. -- Sean Esposito scored 20 points, leading four IUPUI players in double figures, and the Jaguars defeated Ball State 77-68 on Sunday.
Esposito had six 3-pointers in the game. John Hart had 14 points and seven rebounds for IUPUI (5-10). Lyonell Gaines added 13 points and Jordan Shanklin scored 11.
Jauwan Scaife scored 21 points to lead all scorers for the Cardinals (5-6). Chris Bond and Tyler Koch each scored 10 points for Ball State.
The Cardinals led only in the first minute of the game. IUPUI came back to take a 13-point lead later in the half and led 38-32 at the break.
Ball State outscored the Jaguars 40-20 in the paint but IUPUI made 11 3-pointers while Ball State had four.
