VESTAL, N.Y. -- Jameel Warney scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Stony Brook defeated Binghamton 62-37 Wednesday night in an America East Conference game.
Marcus Rouse added 12 points and seven rebounds and Leonard Hayes had 11 points for the Seawolves (11-4, 2-0), who have won their last three games.
The Bearcats (2-14, 0-3), who lost their 10th consecutive game, shot a season-low 26.4 percent (14 of 53), had their lowest point total of the season and matched their lowest-scoring half (14 points in a 67-39 loss to Michigan on Dec. 11).
The Seawolves led 23-14 at halftime despite shooting 26.7 percent (8 of 30). They ended the half with a 14-2 run, during which the Bearcats shot 1 for 15.
Stony Brook broke it open with an 11-0 run second-half run that included two 3-pointers by Rouse and one by Dave Coley for a 45-26 lead with 10:08 left.
