DENVER -- Brett Olson and Chris Udofia each scored 15 points and Denver shot 56.3 percent from the field in a 73-37 rout over San Jose State on Thursday night.
Denver (10-7, 6-1 WAC) was 8 of 19 from beyond the arc, was a perfect 11 for 11 from the free-throw line and dished out 22 assists as a team. The Pioneers held San Jose State to just 28 percent shooting and forced 12 turnovers.
The Pioneers dominated this game from the outset and with Royce O'Neale's 3-pointer to put Denver up 3-0 just 42 seconds into the game, the Pioneers never trailed again, leading 34-18 at halftime and outscoring the Spartans 39-19 in the second half.
O'Neale finished with seven points, 10 rebounds and five assists.
San Jose State (9-8, 3-3) didn't have a player in double figures with LaVanne Pennington and Chris Cunningham each scoring eight points to lead the Spartans.
