CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Jeremy Sexton finished 12 of 13 from the field, including a school record 8 3-pointers for a career-high 34 points to lead Charleston Southern over High Point 83-75 Saturday in a Big South Conference game.
Arlon Harper scored 14 points and Saah Nimley added 13 points and seven assists to help Charleston Southern (10-6, 5-0) win its sixth straight game.
Sexton scored 23 points in the first half. He went 8-for-8 from the field, including 7 3-pointers in the period to help the Buccaneers take a 49-34 lead into halftime.
Charleston Southern (8-9, 3-2) did not trail at any point in the game, and led by as many as 16 points in the second half.
The Buccaneers shot 54.9 percent (28 of 51) and outrebounded the Panthers 33-24.
Allan Chaney led the Panthers with 21 points.
