HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Allan Chaney and Derrell Edwards scored 15 points apiece to lead High Point to a 74-62 victory over Coastal Carolina in a Big South Conference game Saturday.
Dejuan McGaughy added 12 points and John Brown had 10 for the Panthers (13-10, 8-3), who have won four in a row and seven of nine.
Badou Diagne had 13 points and seven rebounds, Anthony Raffs scored 12 and Michel Enanga 10 for the Chanticleers (11-11, 6-5), whose two-game winning streak was snapped.
The Panthers trailed 33-30 at the half and caught the Chanticleers at 39-39 2:22 into the second half. High Point took a 49-41 lead on McGaughy's jumper, but Coastal Carolina closed to 49-47 on Enanga's 3-pointer at 10:44.
Edwards' 3-pointer made it 59-51 at the 7:14 mark, and High Point held on.
High Point made 26 of 36 from the free-throw line, while Coastal Carolina made 7 of 10.
