CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Jake Cohen scored a career-high 32 points, and Davidson pulled away in the second half for a 75-59 victory over the College of Charleston on Thursday.
Nik Cochran added 14 points for the Wildcats (18-7, 13-1 Southern Conference), who have won nine in a row and are 15-1 when scoring 70 or more points.
Andrew Lawrence and Trent Wiedeman scored 10 each for the Cougars (18-8, 10-4), whose six-game winning streak was snapped. Davidson beat Charleston 77-68 on Jan. 19, the Cougars' last loss before the streak.
Davidson shot 59.3 percent from the field in the second half (16 of 27) and used a 24-8 run midway through the period to take its largest lead, 71-53, with 3:29 remaining.
Davidson shot 50 percent for the game (27 of 54), 41.7 percent on 3-pointers (10 of 24).
Charleston was 25 of 62 from the field, 5 of 15 on 3-pointers.
