POCATELLO, Idaho -- Chris Hansen set a school record with nine 3-pointers to lead Idaho State to an 87-51 win over Montana State Thursday night.
Hansen, a sophomore, was 9 for 11 from behind the arc -- where he took all his shots -- to finish with a career-high 27 points for the Bengals (5-19, 4-11 Big Sky).
Melvin Morgan scored 15 points and Andre Hatchett scored 12 for Idaho State, which shot 64 percent from the field in posting its highest point total of the season. The Bengals never trailed in the game and led 42-18 at halftime.
Flavien Davis was the only Montana State player in double figures, with 11 points. The Bobcats (10-13, 7-8) shot 38 percent and committed 17 turnovers.
