PHILADELPHIA -- Carl Jones scored 24 points and Saint Joseph's eased past Fordham 82-56 Saturday night to sweep the season series.
In their previous meeting, which the Hawks won 66-62 on Jan. 30, there were 23 lead changes before Jones made 7 of 8 free throws in the final minute.
This time, Saint Joseph's (16-11, 7-7 Atlantic 10 Conference) opened with a 10-0 run, holding the Rams scoreless for nearly 7 minutes. The Hawks expanded their lead to 19 in the first half and maintained a 14-point cushion from there.
