Montana State beats Portland State 79-76
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Antonio Biglow scored 15 points Thursday night and Paul Egwuonwu added 13 and Montana State beat Portland State 79-76 in a Big Sky Conference shootout in which the lead changed hands 18 times.
Flavien Davis scored 11 for the Bobcats (8-6, 3-0) and Michael Dison added 10.
The lead flip-flopped 12 times and the Bobcats led 37-35 at halftime on a trey by Eric Norman.
Portland State (5-7, 0-3) took a 44-42 second-half lead on an 8-2 run, and the lead traded hands six more times until Norman hit another trey to make it 61-57. DaShaun Wiggins' layup at 1:35 made it a one-point game, but the Bobcats stayed ahead, then Tim Douglas made a layup with 4 seconds left to make it a two-point game. Marcus Colbert and Egwuonwu hit a free throw each to seal the win.
Wiggins led Portland State with 20 and Marcus Hall had 19.
