Brown scores 26 as High Point routs Ferrum 94-64

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- John Brown scored 26 points and Allan Chaney had 17 points and 15 rebounds as High Point routed Ferrum 94-64 on Tuesday night.

Brown was 10-of-14 from the field and had eight dunks while Chaney was a perfect 8-of-8 on field goals. Chaney now has two straight double-doubles to start the season after scoring 21 and grabbing 12 rebounds on Friday at North Carolina-Wilmington.

High Point (1-1) shot 59.7 percent from the field and was 5-of-9 on 3-pointers while holding Ferrum (0-1) to 34.5 percent from the field. High Point outrebounded Ferrum 43-26 and held a 68-14 advantage in points in the paint. High Point built a 45-27 halftime advantage and led by as many as 33 in the second half.

Jamal Pullen had 18 points for Ferrum, for which the game counted as an exhibition.
