Eastern Kentucky defeats High Point 74-67
RICHMOND, Ky. -- Glenn Cosey scored a game-high 25 points to lead Eastern Kentucky past High Point 74-67 Saturday night.
The teams traded one to three-point leads much of the second half until a Marcus Lewis dunk gave Eastern Kentucky (4-1) a 62-57 lead with 5:21 remaining. High Point closed within one point before Cosey made his last 3-pointer with less than four minutes to play.
Cosey made five 3-pointers while shooting 8 of 13 from the floor. Lewis and Corey Walden each added 16 points for the Colonels.
Allan Chaney and John Brown each scored in double figures to lead High Point (1-2). Brown had a game-high nine rebounds. Devante Wallace's 3-pointer gave the Panthers a 52-51 lead, their last of the night.
EKU has an 18-game home court winning streak against non-conference teams.
