ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Andrew Rowsey scored 22 points as UNC Asheville beat NAIA Virginia Intermont 83-58 on Friday night.
UNC Asheville (4-7) struggled in the first half, shooting just 37 percent from the field and leading 29-23 at the break. But the Bulldogs pulled away in the second half, during which they shot 54.8 percent.
Virginia Intermont shot a mere 29.4 percent for the game -- including just 2 of 15 from beyond the arc -- and was outrebounded 61-27 by UNC Asheville.
