Bryant gets past Yale 72-64
NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Alex Francis and Dyami Starks each scored 22 points, leading Bryant in a second-half rally en route to a 72-64 win over Yale Wednesday night.
Bryant (6-2) won its fourth consecutive game, erasing a halftime deficit and opening the second half on a 23-11 run, led by 11 from Starks. Starks scored 17 in the second half and Francis 13 as Bryant shot 57.1 percent from the field in the half.
Yale (4-4) closed the gap to 57-55 on a Javier Duren layup with 6:48 left but Starks answered with a 3-pointer. Yale closed to within 64-59 with 3:59 left, but then went without a score for more than 3 minutes as Bryant pulled away.
Bryant hit 6 of 15 3-pointers while Yale made just 3 of 21 attempts.
Corey Maynard had 14 points and eight assists for Bryant.
Duren scored 17 points for Yale and Justin Sears added 10.
