St Francis holds off Fairleigh Dickenson, 89-82
TEANECK, N.J. -- Greg Brown dunked twice in the final 28 seconds as St. Francis held off Fairleigh Dickinson in the second to score an 89-82 win Saturday night.
St. Francis built a 10-point lead at intermission and led by 13 with 1:30 left to play, but Mustafaa Jones drilled back-to-back 3-pointers and Sidney Sanders added a 3-pointer and layup as the Knights slashed the lead to four points, 82-78 with 48 seconds remaining.
Earl Brown scored 22 points and Ronnie Drinnon added 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Red Flash (8-17, 6-6 Northeast), who shot 53.6 percent from the floor (30 of 56). Greg Brown and Dom Major Jr. each added 12 points and Malik Harmon contributed 11.
Sanders finished with 31 points to lead Fairleigh Dickinson (8-17, 4-7), with Jones adding another 21. The Knights struggled from the field, converting on just 27 of 68 shots (39.7 percent).
