PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico -- Lucas Nutt scored a season-high 21 points on perfect 6-of-6 shooting as Southeast Missouri State beat Northern Kentucky 79-65 in a Cure UCD Classic matchup Friday night.

The Redhawks (4-2) shot 57.1 percent from the field and held a slim 38-36 advantage at the break, but opened up the second half on a 22-7 run ignited by a 3-pointer from Nutt.

Nutt sank a trio of 3-pointers and all six of his free throw attempts. Tyler Stone scored 17 points and Nino Johnson added 10 with nine rebounds.

Northern Kentucky (1-5) was just 21 of 51 on field goal attempts and fell behind by as much as 17 with 11:40 remaining. They were led by Tyler White with a game-high 22 points while Jordan Jackson added 16.

SE Missouri will play Tulane tomorrow in the next round of the Cure UCD Classic, while the Norse will face Texas State.
