Braun scores 30 to lead NDSU over SDSU 85-77
BROOKINGS, S.D. -- Taylor Braun made his last six field goals and finished with 30 points, six rebounds and six assists as North Dakota State beat South Dakota State 85-77.
Braun's performance highlighted the outstanding all-around shooting of NDSU (15-5, 4-1 Summit League) which was 27 of 48 from the field, 8 of 15 from 3-point range and 23 of 28 from the free-throw line.
Marshall Bjorklund added 19 points for the Bison and Lawrence Alexander scored 15.
NDSU led 41-37 at halftime and opened the second with a 13-2 run capped by Braun's jumper to make it 54-39.
Jordan Dykstra's 3-pointer brought the Jackrabbits to within 80-75 with 39 seconds left, but the Bison made 5 of 6 from the free-throw line to secure the victory.
Brayden Carlson led SDSU (10-10, 2-3) with 22 points. Dykstra added 17 points and eight rebounds while Chad White scored 16 and Cody Larson 14.
