Georgia State defeats Louisiana-Monroe 66-58
MONROE, La. -- Ryan Harrow scored 18 points and Devonta White added 17 to lead Georgia State to a school record 11th straight win with a come-from-behind, 66-58 victory Saturday over Louisiana-Monroe.
Manny Atkins scored for Georgia State to tie it at 55. Harrow followed with a layup to give Georgia State a 57-55 lead with 3:12 to play and the Panthers led the rest of the way, closing with a 13-3 run.
Harrow was 7 of 15 from the field. White finished 4 of 8 from the field and made nine of his 10 free throw attempts. Curtis Washington grabbed 11 rebounds for Georgia State (14-6, 7-0), which remains undefeated in its first season in the Sun Belt Conference.
Tylor Ongwae tied a career-high with 27 points, and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Louisiana-Monroe (6-9, 3-4). Jayon James added 11 points and had five assists.
