Georgia State puts big finish on UALR, 68-57
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Devonta White scored 22 points as Georgia State stayed perfect through 10 Sun Belt games, knocking off Arkansas-Little Rock 68-57 Thursday night.
The Panthers closed out the first half with an 8-2 run to post a 29-21 halftime advantage, but UALR battled back to tie at 31 four minutes into the second half.
White converted 3 of 4 from the line and added a layup to give Georgia State a 40-35 lead with 10:23 left, then capped a 16-6 run with three more free throws to give the Panthers a 56-41 advantage with 3:41 left and Georgia State cruised home.
R.J. Hunter and Ryan Harrow scored 14 and 13 points, respectively, for Georgia State (17-6, 10-0 Sun Belt), which shot 22 of 55 from the field (40 percent).
James White scored 14 points and Leroy Isler and Josh Hagins added 11 points each to lead Arkansas-Little Rock (12-11, 7-4).
