Fairfield Stags @ Siena Saints
Bisping's layup gets Siena past Fairfield 77-75
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Brett Bisping scored on a layup with eight seconds left in the game to allow Siena to escape with a 77-75 win over Fairfield Monday night.
Maurice Barrow's layup gave Fairfield a four-point lead with two minutes to play, 75-71, but Siena battled back. Rob Poole hit the second of two free throws, then converted a three-point play to knot the score with 1:12 to play and the Stags were unable to answer.
Barrow missed a 3-point attempt and Siena grabbed the rebound with 45 seconds to play and Evan Hymes found Bisping for the game-winner.
Bisping finished with 17 points on 6-for-9 shooting to lead Siena (11-14, 7-7 Metro Atlantic). Poole finished with 14 and Hymes 13 for the Saints.
Barrow scored 18 points to lead Fairfield (5-20, 2-12), with Steve Johnston adding 14, Amadou Sidibe 12 and Marcus Gilbert and K.J. Rose 11 each.
