Nevada slips past UC Davis 87-81 in OT
DAVIS, Calif. -- Jerry Evans, Jr. scored 25 points, making the last two free throws in overtime, to help Nevada slip past UC Davis 87-81 Saturday night.
UC Davis (3-7) held a 74-72 lead with 12 seconds remaining in regulation after a Deonte Burton free throw. Brynton Lemar's layup with seven seconds remaining sent the game into overtime. The Wolf Pack (4-5) outscored UC Davis 13-7 in overtime.
Burton added 19 points for the Wolf Pack. Ronnie Stevens and Cole Huff had 13 each.
The game was tied eight times, with 15 lead changes.
UC Davis held a 37-34 halftime lead, and led 40-34 to start the second half. Nevada (4-5) quickly came back to outscore the Aggies 40-37 in the second half.
Nevada held a decided 42-24 advantage on the boards.
Corey Hawkins led the Aggies with 34 points. Lemar finished with a season-high 16.
