RICHMOND, Ky. -- Angelo Warner scored a career-high 33 points, on 10-of-15 shooting, as Morehead State ended a three-game losing streak to Eastern Kentucky, 86-79 on Saturday.
Warner made three 3-pointers and all 10 of his free throw attempts for Morehead State (16-9, 7-3 Ohio Valley Conference). There were a combined 63 free throws attempted, with Morehead State making 25 of its 31 attempts. The Eagles controlled the glass 35-20, led by Chad Posthumus with 13, en route to their eighth win in 11 games.
Glenn Cosey scored 11 of his 18 points from the free throw line and was just 4 of 13 from the field for Eastern Kentucky (17-8, 7-4). Orlando Williams and Tarius Johnson added 14 points apiece, while Corey Walden and Eric Stutz had 12 each.
The loss ended a three-game winning streak for EKU, which has only lost three times in its last 10 games.
